【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsareusefulinresearchandqualitycontrolforevaluatinginsulatingmaterialsandsystemssincetheyprovideforthemeasurementofchargetransferandenergylossduetopartialdischarges(4)(5)(6).Pulsemeasurementsofpartialdischargesindicatethemagnitudeofindividualdischarges.However,iftherearenumerousdischargespercycleitmaybeimportanttoknowtheirchargesum,sincethissumcanberelatedtothetotalvolumeofinternalgasspacesthataredischarging,ifitisassumedthatthegascavitiesaresimplecapacitancesinserieswiththecapacitancesofthesoliddielectrics(7)(8).Internal(cavity-type)dischargesaremainlyofthepulse(spark-type)withrapidrisetimesorthepseudoglow-typewithlongrisetimes,dependinguponthedischargegoverningparametersexistingwithinthecavity.Iftherisetimesofthepseudoglowdischargesaretoolong,theywillevadedetectionbypulsedetectorsascoveredinTestMethodD1868.However,boththepseudoglowdischargesirrespectiveofthelengthoftheirrisetimeaswellaspulselessglowcanbereadilymeasuredeitherbyMethodAorBofTestMethodsD3382.Pseudoglowdischargeshavebeenobservedtooccurinair,particularlywhenapartiallyconductingsurfaceisinvolved.Suchpartiallyconductingsurfacesmaydevelopwithpolymersthatareexposedtopartialdischargesforsufficientlylongperiodstoaccumulateacidicdegradationproducts.Alsoinsomeapplications,liketurbogenerators,wherealowmolecularweightgassuchashydrogenisusedasacoolant,pseudoglowdischargesmaydevelop.1.1Thesetestmethodscovertwobridgetechniquesformeasuringtheenergyandintegratedchargeofpulseandpseudoglowpartialdischarges:1.2TestMethodAmakesuseofcapacitanceandlosscharacteristicssuchasmeasuredbythetransformerratio-armbridgeorthehigh-voltageScheringbridge(TestMethodsD150).TestMethodAcanbeusedtoobtaintheintegratedchargetransferandenergylossduetopartialdischargesinadielectricfromthemeasuredincreaseincapacitanceandtanwithvoltage.(SeealsoIEEE286andIEEE1434)1.3TestMethodBmakesuseofasomewhatdifferentbridgecircuit,identifiedasacharge-voltage-trace(parallelogram)technique,whichindicatesdirectlyonanoscilloscopetheintegratedchargetransferandthemagnitudeoftheenergylossduetopartialdischarges.1.4Bothtestmethodsareintendedtosupplementthemeasurementanddetectionofpulse-typepartialdischargesascoveredbyTestMethodD1868,bymeasuringthesumofbothpulseandpseudoglowdischargespercycleintermsoftheirchargeandenergy.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionstatementsaregiveninSection7.
